Goatscaping is a natural solution for weeds, overgrown brush, dangerous plants like poison ivy, poison sumac, & other invasive species. Goats will eat almost anything. Steep and hard-to-mow areas are no match for the goat as they are agile and hard-working creatures that can get into rough and narrow spots. Using goats to clear land provides many benefits that traditional human management practices do not. Goats provide a source of fertilizer, which they work into the soil with their hooves. Goat hooves also stomp on weeds, helping mitigate them in future growing seasons. The goat digestive system can aid as a herbicide when trying to prevent the spread of weeds. When a goat eats seeds from a weed, its saliva contains an enzyme that neutralizes several seed types. After the material passes through the goat and is excreted, the seeds are no longer viable to grow back. The use of grazing goats eliminates worrying about the risk of potentially harmful chemicals and negative environmental impacts.

FAQ
1) How will the goats stay? You do not need to have a fenced property to hire Goats On The Go-Peoria. We bring our own portable solar electric fencing that can be moved and shaped as needed. This keeps our goats safe and your flower beds secure!
2) How will the goats get water? We will be by to monitor our herd and their progress every day they are on your property. This includes bringing fresh water daily and making sure they are all happy and healthy.
3) Is my property right for goat grazing? Do you have invasive weeds? Are you bombarded every spring with poison ivy and other annoying plants? Do you have a ravine or wooded areas that are hard to reach or dangerous for human workers to access? Then your property is perfect for goats!
4) How expensive are goats? You are welcome to give us a call any time of the year for a free estimate of your property. We will come to you and evaluate how much land you need grazed and give you a quote. We have the ability to map your yard or land on our phone and get an exact measurement.
5) How large does a property need to be to graze goats? Large or small our goats can do it all. Last season we did a few smaller projects that required just a few goats. We have also done some clearing of garden areas after the summer season. We also grazed a very large area for ComEd using a borrowed herd from Iowa so we have the ability to meet all your grazing needs.
Don't let the goats do all the work! Sheep are very valuable in other areas! While we know that goats are great at woody brush and thick weeds, sheep are fantastic prairie and grass grazers. We like to bring our sheep on projects that have a mind varsity of vegetation, or special places like solar fields and even wineries!
